This installation uses encephalography to produce a control voltage on for an audio-video synthesiser. Taking from the 2014 work Psychic Synth, that used a custom digital interface, Psychic Synth No. 2 works with electronic hardware interface to produce live variations in sonic and video outputs that are dictated by the participant’s brainwaves. The work was shown in the ‘self titled’ solo exhibition at McLelland Sculpture Gallery, Victoria in 2019. Curated by Simon Lawrie and coinsiding with a survey show of the work of Stanislaw Ostoja-Kotkowski.
