Signauxß at Firstdraft
Opening on Wednesday the 26th of May at Firstdraft is my show titled "Signauxß". I will be performing live at the opening with starts at 6pm.
Signauxß is an audio/video performance based around a prepared instrument for a multichannel audio/video composition. The instrument is called the Video Harp. The synaesthetic instrument allows the performer to mix layers of audio and video through performative gesture. The crude and stripped back electronics embrace broken, augmented and tormented signals inviting audio/video noise and glitched outcomes. The work discusses the ethereal qualities of electronic signal transmission and the concept of ‘machine vision’.
